Hardware for a Cuda dash restoration
A dashboard project often needs more than its visible trim. Fasteners, instrument connections and control cables help complete the installation, and the right pieces depend on the equipment already in the car. This category includes several kinds of supporting parts, so begin with the component you need rather than selecting by category name alone.
The listings include firewall insulation fasteners, Rallye clocks, a Standard dash fuel gauge, speedometer and clock cables, vent cables and pedal-related components. These parts do not form one universal kit. Review the contents and application of each listing before building your order.
Firewall insulation fasteners
Several firewall insulation fastener listings appear here, including ten-piece sets and versions with different stated year ranges. Compare the fastener style, quantity and application with the insulation and attachment points in your vehicle. A broad Mopar year range still needs to be checked against the actual item being installed.
If you are replacing insulation at the same time, inspect its mounting holes before choosing the hardware. Keep reusable original pieces until the new parts have been compared, particularly on a car with previous repairs or a changed firewall installation.
Standard and Rallye instruments
A 1970–1974 E-body Standard dash fuel gauge is listed separately from Rallye clock components. Rallye clock listings distinguish 1970–1971 from 1972–1974 Cuda and Challenger applications. Confirm your instrument layout and model year before selecting the replacement.
The range also includes a 1970–1971 E-body Rallye gauge clock cable and a 62-inch speedometer cable with specified A-, B- and E-body applications. Read the cable description for fitment and compare its ends and routing with the installed cable. Length alone does not establish compatibility.
Cables and pedal installation parts
E-body vent cables and an under-hood Shaker cable serve different systems. Identify the section that needs replacement and check the listed end fittings and contents. For a Shaker-equipped project, do not assume an under-hood cable also includes the separate under-dash components.
Four-speed pedal springs, brackets and kits are also mapped to this category. Match transmission type and the specific year range, then review which pieces the kit actually contains. Accelerator pads have their own applications; select the pad or pad-and-bezel listing according to the component needed.
