Description

Restore the Front Floor of Your 1982 Chevrolet Corvette

Proudly made in the USA by Auto Custom Carpets. New carpet is one of the most noticeable upgrades in a restoration. This 6-piece 82 Vet Cutpile set is made by ACC for the 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition Frt w/Console Strips & Kick Panels, molded to the shape of the application, and comes in ACC's 7593 Beige 82 Vet Cutpile.

Why Restorers Choose This Carpet

  • Carpet: ACC 82 Vet Cutpile, true automotive-grade carpet made to replace the factory material.
  • Pieces in the set: 6.
  • Shape: molded to the floor pan of this application; some trimming may be needed.
  • Padding: comes attached in the same spots the original carpet was padded.
  • Heel pad: applied the way the factory did it.
  • Built to meet or beat the original equipment specifications.
  • Color: 7593 Beige 82 Vet Cutpile, as ACC lists it for this application.
  • In the Backing list: standard backing, or EVA mass backing (about 45 mil) for extra sound and heat control.
  • In the Sound Deadener list: ACC's matching Mastic with Pad sound deadener kit (6 pieces, front), or none.
  • Made in the USA by Auto Custom Carpets.

Standard or Mass Backing

Standard backing comes with the carpet. For a quieter, cooler cabin, choose Mass backing in the Backing list: ACC's EVA mass backing, about 45 mil thick, blocks heat and road noise and helps the carpet look its best once it is installed. Its price is shown beside the choice, and the pictures include a side-by-side of the two backings.

Add a Matching Sound Deadener

For a quieter, cooler cabin, add ACC's matching Mastic with Pad sound deadener kit (6 pieces, front) from the Sound Deadener list, or leave it on No sound deadener. It lays under the carpet: jute padding laminated to a thin layer of asphaltic mastic with a black paper backing, about a 3/8 inch pad with 1/16 inch of mastic, installed pad side down. ACC names Mastic with Pad the most common deadener in Corvettes.

Note from ACC: Thickness of material may change the fit of the carpet.
