1970-1974 E-Body Cuda Challenger One Piece Trunk Floor Pan
Rust in an E-body trunk floor usually starts where water collects around the spare tire well and the low corners, and by the time a Challenger or 'Cuda comes apart for restoration, the damage has often spread across the whole floor. When patching no longer makes sense, a full one-piece pan replaces the entire floor in a single stamping. This pan arrives coated in black EDP primer, which protects the bare steel while it waits on the shop floor and gives paint and seam sealer a clean base.
Choose Your Car
The Cuda and Challenger trunk floors are offered as separate stampings, so select your vehicle in the options. Cuda orders receive part TF10-701 and Challenger orders receive TF10-70. Picking the correct version before the pan ships saves a return on a large freight item.
One-Piece Installation Notes
Chrysler built the E-body trunk floor as two pieces, and a single large pan is easiest to set in place when the tail panel is already off the car. Some restorers have also had to remove the rear crossmember to slide a one-piece floor into position. Before cutting, photograph and measure the fuel tank strap mounts and drill out spot welds with a spot weld cutter so the surrounding metal stays usable. Many cars also need new trunk floor braces, extensions or a spare tire bracket to finish the job, so inspect those areas once the old floor is out.
Shipping
Because of its size, the pan ships by truck freight. Select the Mandatory Freight Charge option for delivery, or choose Local Pickup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Cuda pan different from the Challenger pan?
They are sold as separate part numbers, TF10-701 for the Cuda and TF10-70 for the Challenger. Choose your car in the Vehicle option so the right stamping is shipped.
Should I choose a one-piece or a two-piece trunk floor?
A one-piece pan replaces the whole floor in one panel, which works best when the floor is rotted throughout and the tail panel is coming out. If only one side is damaged, or you want to leave the rear of the car intact, a two-piece floor is usually easier to fit.
What finish does the pan have?
It is coated in black EDP primer to resist corrosion before installation. Scuff it and seal the seams before applying your final paint or undercoating.
